MNT Quasar Beta version fully routed, tomorrow i'll do some mechanical interference checks/changes and then it's done. this module will support 3 different Qualcomm Dragonwing processors:- QCS6490 (integration mostly done, low idle power consumption, can do sleep/resume, can disable hypervisor)- QCS8550 (works, very fast incl GPU, but need to fix some GPU issues)- Q-8750 (up to 4.3GHz Oryon, will test end of May)

this version fixes small bugs that @cas and i found during bringup and integration over the last months, and works around some USB2 limitations on 8550 by adding another hub and muxes for EDL (usb bootloader) to optionally route around the hub. other little fixes are around SD card level shifting, PWM, choice of unreserved SPI pins on 8550, and a wrong displayport hotplug detect pin.

@mntmn @chengdulittlea Wonderful, as I am waiting for MNT Classic Reform to ship soon too, with the the RK3588 chip. It’s perfect timing as I will be able to get the upgrade module with the MNT desktop when available. It will satisfy my compute needs. Being able to use the hardware across multiple platforms is something unique in today’s market.

@hanno @pixx @khm not a hw problem, used to work on imx8mq and imx8mp. i'm sure it can work on rk3588 also, but there are no funds to fix it atm

@mntmn @hanno @pixx @khm What kind of funds are we actually talking about? What would be the ballpark estimate for such a task? There are platforms where multiple people can donate together so that a person who has the skill can get reimbursed when for performing tasks like this. Would MNT welcome something like this and/or have preferences of how it's done or by whom?
