       For what I can remember, mass layoffs always was something bad for a companySomething to be ashamed of, to be avoided at all costs Nowadays it’s scheduled maintenance for big companies to give the numbers a nice little boost for the topNot always but it’s happening more and more often

They can be in dark or light mode.The lack of alt text is a feature, luring us into giving rage bait posts more traffic on the Fediverse. Every one of them has at least one reply about the lack of alt text.Probably an intern is putting more work into making these posts less accessible.        @dec23k @stux I've been thinking of blocking him as well. Also, I noticed that most of the accounts with a huge amount of followers just post and post and post again but never interact with others so fuck them. They just use the fediverse as another sound box because... WHY NOT 🤷🏻‍♂️ <edit> oh, good! With the block the quotes go away, nice.

If he could just post the exact same text on Fedi, *as text*, there would be no need for any alt text on most of his posts.And no need for other users to do unpaid work and helpfully provide the missing alt text.Even if the current approach is fully automated, it's a lot of extra work. And a lot of wasted image storage on Fed OH NOW I GET IT!edit: I was joking about the wasted image storage.
