I personally tend more to xfce or kde, simply because I think a "traditional" desktop would be better than a tiling WM

@luna @rose went all the way back to november amd couldnt find any signs of claude commits . afaik everyone involved with niri does not like llms , a loose policy doesnt necessarily imply “slop”

@luna @fiore @rose thats gonna be pretty hard to avoid considering the linux kernel is accepting llm contributions. code quality isn't really a concern assuming they're still reviewing contributions with the same level of scrutiny. all of the other issues surrounding llm usage i get though

yeah the current gentoo live disk is kdebut ive seen many cases where everything just crashes once you try and launch firefox if the system has like 4gb of ram, so idk thats kinda ickyrn im working with xfce+labwc, switching to plasma won't be too difficult later on ig

@rose Ah yeah, I think only cases I've used the Gentoo Live instead of a random Alpine/Debian/… image where I boot into a shell is on my desktop so always had >8GB of RAM as far as Gentoo's concerned.
