       I was driving to work when I almost crashed into some chairs on a railroad crossing. Some asshole just left two big metal kitchen chairs for a car or train to run into. I pulled over my car, got out, and dragged those chairs into the ditch so they wouldn't cause an accident.I hope the culprits weren't nearby to get my license plate number or something. At least a cop didn't see me and assume I was the one littering.

       @All_bonesJones I do carry a handgun in my car (relax, FBI/ATF, I follow all of your stupid laws). my current city is fairly safe, but I grew up in a shithole and couldn't even trust some of my own family members.

       @noyoushutthefuckupdad @All_bonesJones Carrying is always a good idea (when legal), and having a CCW is nice to have even if you don’t normally carry or even if you have Constitutional concealed/open carry, if only for the precocity with other states..  The only complicating thing is needing to practice on a conceal carry gun and an open carry gun… or with a secondary back-up.

       @noyoushutthefuckupdad @All_bonesJones It wouldn't hurt in that regards, at least.  A lot of it depends on one's jurisdiction, so there really isn't a single "one-size-fits-all" solutions.  In general, getting a CCW is useful, and getting an out-of-state CCW additionally can also be useful depending on the reciprocity laws of your home-state's CCW.

       @noyoushutthefuckupdad @All_bonesJones @LoliHat Mine lapsed while i was out of state. Now it's constitutional carry so I haven't bothered to go through the process again.Cops are also more chill after you hand them your ccw.

       @rude @All_bonesJones @noyoushutthefuckupdad There is that, but having a CCW (either in-state or out-of-state) is very useful if you ever travel interstate.  Oh, also, if you get a license for antique firearms, you aren't restricted by that "only buy withing your state" or "only buy in a neighboring state" rule.  And there are some nice guns that are technically falling under that.
