       @fiore it's a wayland compositor you can embed in gtk programs, those themselves are ran in your actual compositorso then you can run other programs inside that embedded view> A simple Wayland compositor widget for Gtk 4 which can be used to embed other processes windows in your Gtk 4 application.

       @navi @fiore yep. qt has such a thing as well, and it’s also how e.g. gamescope works without incurring additional latency (assuming the parent compositor supports direct scanout)

       @mia @fiore gamescope is funny because *wayland* embedding is disabled by defaultso they end up being an embedded wayland compositor that only really proxies XWayland(makes me really wonder what does it offer over rootful Xwayland)

       @mia @navi @fiore its meant to be the kiosk display manager for the steam deck. so it does what valve needs it to do.which, yes, is basically just good control over inputs and FSR modes.
