       Mignęły mi na jakieś stronie internetowej kolejne reklamy kasyn online w których "na pewno będzie sprzyjało ci szczęście*", portali z anonsami erotycznymi i platform, gdzie można kupić tuzin tuzinów różnorakich szajsów za 0 złotych (ale trzeba opłacić przesyłkę czy tam inne gówno) i nagle doznałem olśnienia... To wszystko już było!

       To samo widzieliśmy w opisach cyberpunkowych klasyków - tyle, że tam były to krzykliwe neony produktów wielkich korporacji, ćwierć-nagie kobiety w witrynach klubów i inne zanieczyszczacze przestrzeni publicznej, które żerują na ludzkich słabościach. Ale w przeciwieństwie do tego, my nie mamy tylu kolorów w życiu codziennym - nawet jeśli barwniki tychże są bardzo toksyczne.Ależ chujowo nudna nam się trafiła dystopia.

       @Lone Jak tylko wynajdą te panele słoneczne wielkości hustki do nosa zdolne do zagotowania czajnika wody w trzy minuty i wymyślą jak zrobić biodegradowalne budynki które się nie będą walić ludziom na głowy w trakcie biodegradacji. A poza tym solarpunk jest jeszcze nudniejszy od steampunku, a to jest osiągnięcie.

       @deshipu @Lone as someone here said, the first step to solar power is using less power. Also, I presume, living in the right latitude that you do not need much heating or cooling

       @Lone @piggo It's possible to transfer energy between different latitudes. But even at the latitudes where we live, we could easily produce enough solar energy for all our current needs. It just takes solar farms, and not a single panel on your roof. Also for things like metal smelting you probably want a hydroelectric dam anyways. Which is totally doable. But you won't 3D print it at home yourself.

       @deshipu @Lone power dam or wind farms, which we can't build because of a widespread NIMBY mentality. You can have a self sufficient home (in the summer) with 12 panels or so, it is expensive but possible today. Winter is the problem

       @piggo @Lone Heating and cooling are solved problems, you just have to design the houses right, and nobody wants to spend extra money for that if you can just "fix" it by spending them later on fuels. The biggest problem right now is storing all that energy you get at inconvenient times to use it when it's needed, but there are some solutions for that too. Problem is, the ones that work best are big industrial projects, not something you can grow in your garden.

       @piggo @Lone I know people in Canada who live in self-sufficient homes. But those houses were built from the ground up for that.
