       I wish we had distinct standard terms for ferrite bead (the electronic component) and ferrite bead (the ring of ferrite you install on a cable)

       I know that they're doing the same thing in terms of the base physical phenomena, but for all practical considerations they're completely different entities and the name overloading is a fairly consistent source of annoyance.
