       @luatic white people are less likely to have it because they benefit from systemic racism and working people in the imperial core (mostly overwhelmingly white countries) benefit from the continued exploitation of the global south. this is what is called the labor aristocracy. in effect a lot of white people from the global north often have fundamentally different class interests from the exploited majority. this has nothing to do with morality.

       @lizzy this is not what was said though. and the follow-up was "it's impossible to be racist against white people".this is just racism, and i will not pretend it's not. just like i will not pretend that 2 + 2 = 5.i mean, i could care less about people being racist on the internet, not like i can do a lot about it besides pointing it out, blocking and reporting.

       @luatic no, applying the word "racism" to this is fundamentally not useful at all.they made a generalizing statement about a group of people. if someone says "people who own a car suck", they also insulting a group of people, and you can disagree with that or find it rude, but it is not a fundamentally offensive statement in the same way that racism is. car owners are not a discriminated minority. neither are white people. the reason why we have the words "racism" "sexism" "homophobia" etc. in the first place is because they refer to phenomena of systemic discrimination.
