       now imagine this happening everywhere... imagine the mindset shift it would create... imagine how radically it would improve people's lives, all while still existing side-by-side with capitalism (for now). Imagine the pressures it would put on a system that's brutal and exploitive when they can actually get their needs met outside of that system.

       My brother and I help our neighbors when the weather gets hyper-shitty, like, feet of snow, but most of the time, everybody on the street and surrounding neighborhoods is nowhere to be seen, even during pleasant temperatures.I'm usually in a permanent state of exhaustion as 140% of my daily energy is expended at work, and running such a massive deficit makes me a non-entity on most of my off-days.

       Living in hurricane zones for decades made me appreciate how bad weather, and the post storm cleanup, often brought neighbors out into their yards. Many I had never met beyond a wave. But no power, no water, and trees and branches down everywhere creates community all it's own.Mind you this was all White communities. Your comment, and my experience, further strengthens my Accelerationist tendencies....Our People will be fine. The orcs, meanwhile, will eat themselves when the gibs shut off.
