       Sane train operators could totally exchange platform information over HAFAS so it can be displayed to passengers using other apps or at all in the case of cross-border trainsi don't get why they don't do that

       @rail@social.flufftech.net this isn’t hafas, there are UIC standards for exchanging data between infrastructure managers (so DB InfraGO <-> PKP TLK) but that data needs to trickle down ofc

       @rail@social.flufftech.net DB staff can for instance see when they look up an international train to/from Germany that train X has passed Betriebsstelle (so station or waypoint) XP[whatever] @ 12:34 for insrnsce
