@groteUpdating to the alpha, my app list now shows issues for two apps, including the mail from @protonprivacy which is apparently no longer in the repos... Is this a known issue? I did not see it in the weekly @fdroidorg newsEdit: thinking about it, maybe it was installed from the @IzzyOnDroidOrg repo, but I cannot check from the app and I also did not see any info there

@silmathoron @grote @protonprivacy @fdroidorg ProtonMail was removed from @IzzyOnDroidOrg 2024-05-15, as there was never an answer from them on the APK size issue (~80 MB, we asked for per-ABI builds) for over a year. We finally removed the app, as its repository was archived then, see https://github.com/ProtonMail/proton-mail-android

@Lioh It sure felt good, but is doom scrolling F-Droid maybe also an addictive anti-pattern that gave you endorphins when suddenly something new popped up? Maybe we need to build more chilled tech that just does its job. You can still force-update individual repos, if you really need to.

@grote pretty, but I do not see how you start a manual update scan of the repos. Or how you do manual app updates. Those were normal procedures I do at least once daily with the older version. It should be interesting to see how this differs.

@wbpeckham @grote The app will check for updates and autoupdate (both controllable) daily anyway. Do try it! Also, per repo refresh is still available.

@luc @grote We had stats for years, we've posted about those all the time in our news, most recently: https://f-droid.org/2026/03/13/twif.html#community-news But, numbers can be gambled, so we chose to not make them the focus of the client. Now they are present in the Discovery page as another signal for user information.

@Lioh @grote Can you try a couple of searches, then go to Settings, Debug log, Save and email that to team at f-droid.org? We've seen such issues in the past but they were hard to consistently reproduce so we could not track it down and fix it./LE: nvm me if you've already provided these 😉
