       I only ever played one game of inter-school sport, with a rich school that placed great importance on weekend inter-school competition (I did not fit in culturally or economically). Got to the playing field where I was a reserve on the rugby team, to find the opposing team was two players short. So I played against my own side. Was even successful in defence against them. That episode characterises my entire school experience. My parents paid dearly for 11 years of supervised neglect

       @cliffordheath as an undergrad i played on the Frisbee team that took the gold medal in the university's Freshman Olympics, ultimately having our floor take first place of the incoming class.I had never played Frisbee competitively in my life, and can catch but am terrible at throwing.But they were a player short because of a second event at the same time as the Frisbee matches so I got press ganged out of the cafeteria mid breakfast to represent my floor.I think I touched the frisbee twice in the entire championship and had no idea what i was doing but they managed to win despite my contribution.
