       @rms  No public funding should be given to either unless the output is available under a freedom respecting copyright license (both use restrictive copyright licenses for their media, preventing the use of it in free software/free culture projects, and PBS even uses DRM to lock its media  DRM-locked-media that stymies the use of free software to watch/listen to it, especially, should not get a dime of US taxpayer money
