       @anemone chardet was no doubt claude has scraped the GPL code from the project, then the guy prompts claude to 'write a spec doc' of the code, then prompts it to reimplement chardet from the spec doc, and claims its successfully laundered away from GPL.i think this is a much stronger case for the IP theft argument than the usual bullshit argument that "oh no it saw my pictures" as though humans don't learn that way too.
