@domi Augh. This makes me wanna get my Compaq Proliant A5000's going ;-; Quad Pentium Pro's are rad as hell. But oof ouchie they're EXPENSIVE (especially if you want the proper 1MB cache models)

@domi while very much not an SMP machine, historical note: the first hypercube (ca. 1981) was the Caltech Cosmic Cube, built with 64 8086/8087 processors. I wrote a little code for it at the time - not fun!

@domi Re: Fault-Tolerant 386Running two CPUs in lock-step is a no-nonsense and is pretty much relevant today. @domi There we're several multiprocessor x86 general-purpose computers that hugely predate that picture, but the ones I know of are not PCs as such.
