       I haven't really done electronics since high school. Could somebody verify my thinking? This remote is broken. When I press a button, I see voltage across the LED contacts. When I put my multimeter in "diode mode" and measure the LED, it shows 0.That means the LED is bad, right? Can I just buy a random IR LED and replace it to fix it?#electronics

       @rem :] open up your phone camera, point the remote at it, and push a button. The phones can see the IR light and, if the remote is actually sending, you will see the signal.(wtf, one of the buttons on my remote isn't working!? that explains that...)

       @RueNahcMohr @DH0PE @hellomiakoda Thank you all for the suggestions! I was messing with it some more, and it just decided to start working again. 😅I don't know what the issue was. Previously, it was not showing up on my phone's camera. Maybe I'm dumb and the batteries weren't in correctly (even though I checked them multiple times). Or there's something subtly wrong with the board, and it'll come back. We'll see.
