       @Stellar I tried... multiple times... failed spectacularly every single time.Well at least once I managed to keep it alive for long enough to grow just enough leaves to make pesto for a pasta meal for four. That was my biggest success in growing anything.

       @homebrew you had basil in a pot? or a large dirt container, because keeping plants alive in pots is super hard, they basically have a 50% chance of dying outright

       @Stellar pot indeed. I've always lived in (relatively small) apartments and can't really have very large containers. I thought the pot was kinda big for the small basil plants I had, but maybe still not big enough.
