       My dear friend @CatgirlEva , who gave me my 2016 MacBook Pro a few years ago, must have picked up on my post here about the deteriorating display, and very generously sent me this 2017 MacBook Pro which is in beautiful shape.        @vwestlife @CatgirlEva I think MacOS just knows to disable the trackpad when you're typing and/or when it senses something large resting on the trackpad.

       @vwestlife @themaritimegirl @CatgirlEva Most Linux desktops have a setting to ignore the touchpad while typing.And there's always syndaemon (with the right command-line options for your machine; I use syndaemon -tdk which is memorable).
