Does anyone know anyone working at gitlab? If so, tell them their software sucks and it's why even github is beating them.I wanted to view someone else's repo, linked from a library's docs.To do so I had to:* Complete a cloudflare challenge* Create an account* Verify my email* Tell gitlab my role (developer? Manager? etc)* Tell gitlab from what country I was joining from* I was then automatically created a default org & project based on my username.What I found next will shock you!

The user had deleted the repo, the URL was a 404, and their profile said to find them on sr.ht.So I went to delete my account. Before I could do this I had to:* Delete the autocreated project* Delete the autocreated groupDeleting a group takes _30 days_.30 days!To view a 404 page, I now have to wait 30 days to delete my account!This has made me incomprehensibly angry.To try and get a quicker deletion on a 7 minute old account, I messaged support...

Once I did write out a nice message, I then got an automatic reply saying "It looks like you want to delete your account""You should probably use the GDPR portal"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI WENT TO THE GDPR PORTAL AND LOGGED IN (authorising _another_ SSO with my account provider!)AND THEN HAD TO VERIFY MY EMAIL TO LOG INTO THE PORTALAND THEN THE PORTAL DOESN'T EVEN WORK, IT'S THROWING CORS ERRORS AGAINST THE GRAPHQL BACKENDHOLY FUCK
