       Does anyone have any recommendations for an older car that is really fuel efficient, a hatchback and can fit a standard wheelchair in the back of?I don't need too many special accommodations. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, so I can walk with my cane  short distances to the back of the car to get the chair out and set it up. I really just need a good car with a wide open trunk to make it as easy as possible to stow it.

       @ReignOfRaining idk about a wheelchair but my swift fits my grandad's walker in the back well enoughsame fuel efficiency as my 250cc bikes, ~7-7.5L/100km

       @ReignOfRaining I have some cars in mind but they're European. I could find some equivalents that were commercialized in the US. Perhaps you'd have more chance with Japanese manufacturers. Does your wheel chair fit in a civic? (If they're as low as a 106 then yeah seats are pretty darn low to the ground on this but it's to have an idea of how big you need)
