       @june i moved to codeberg for ethical reasons, not for quality reasonsi also feel it is important to point out that codeberg is a small org and github is part of a huge corporationmicroslop definitely has the resources to make github not suck. they just don't, because their incentives lie somewhere else

       @lumi im aware that codeberg is “a small org”, everyone says the exact same thing to defend the excuse for codeberg going down the 100th time in the past 3 monthsat some point it clearly starts to show theyre making little to no effort to stop the repeated outages

       @june@ak.vern.cc @lumi@snug.moe generally my stance is, if you're going to dunk about service quality and then use an objectively less stable service as a substitute the dunking was just because it was vogue and not actual belief.there's a billion and one reasons to hate github, you don't have to invent new ones.like the github uptime "going down after microsoft" thing is bad data. the site that scraped it has questionable metrics prior to 2018.there's also the fact that microsoft has KPI mandates, and all silicon valley ventures they don't actually track KPIs
