       @KasTasMykolas Barely any. :/ At some point they migrated everything over to discord, which, unsurprisingly, I quit when they wanted to dox people for making bots.The pidgin plugin for hangouts actually still works, but barely anyone checks it anymore.

       @Zergling_man uffff... :/ and official forums had their share of demises.I guess after shutdown of G+ and reaching the limits of Hangouts some things got lose as well.In my case, we still manage to get some people for weekly beergress or occasional FS. Which is only reminisence of "the golden age". Well, on the other hand, some families and long term bonds were created during Anomalies and fights for the humanity while running around various cities.

       @KasTasMykolas lol I forgot that G+ shut down.... And nothing of value was lost!Fun story: I was in the BRRN for a while, and joined the associated shitposting hangout, which at some point split into two after hitting cap (I think, maybe that was a different one), one time we were blaming Nico for something, I don't think I ever found out what, it spilled out to start spamming #blamenico on G+, we got it to like 3rd trending or whatever. This was like, 20 people tops. There was really nothing else on G+.Honestly, I think GeoEmpires was a neater idea, you accumulated influence as you walked around, then you could spend it from anywhere, but less incentive to actually meet up and hang out, I guess. (Although the coordination of "guildmates, walk through this path without showing that you're up to something" is also appealing.)

       @Zergling_man well, I'd say all the fun from the past events was lost :) G+ was quite heavily used for that.Have never heard of GeoEmpires o_0 In terms of "successors" - StreetComplete looks like a nice idea. Bringing geolocation based "game" to OSM contributions at ease.

       @KasTasMykolas I got to like rank 50 in Australia or smth on streetcomplete. I've probably slipped now, I should get back to it, but eh, got shit to do and it's not as enticing as Ingress. I've been trying to find some people to try out the group mode with, no luck yet.GeoEmpires had a significant bug in the client that it wouldn't track location if it was in the background. It could have been the thing you play alongside other GPS games but it failed.

       @KasTasMykolas I also tried geohashing briefly, figuring maybe there'd be a handful of people here doing it. Nope, lol. I roped my uncle into it, I wrote my own script for calculating it and ended up with different results to him, we did it for like 3 weeks (Saturdays) while I was trying to debug it, then gave up.I guess it could have been a timing issue, we were mostly going around 12:30ish.
