       Elden Ring is Fromsoft's statement that they'll never make DS4. They've taken the gameplay to its logical conclusion. They only made Nightreign because they had another frontier to push.

       @Netoraremancer i thought they made ER because BotW got really popular and they wanted to cash in. Because ER feels a lot more like a Zelda game than DS. A lot less punishing, open world, and towers. Fucking towers.

       @Netoraremancer tbh what I really wish to see would be a similar game from another studio. Except so far none have managed to make anything good. Tight rhythm-based combat, well-designed interconnected world, gameplay with a strong tension-relief loop, nice graphics, giant monsters, big tiddy goddess, and big fucking swords that hit hard. Is this too much to ask for?
