       the Anker USB-C/USB-A charger station I have can power it but only on the USB-A ports, USB-C<->USB-C doesn't power it for some godforsaken reason

       the problem being I don't have a USB-C<->USB-A cable long enough to put it back where it was placed previously so now its sitting on the Anker charger station itself which isn't ideal

       so sup with the the power situation on the Raspberry Pi (specifically I have the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1)?why doesn't it like the USB-C<->USB-C cable and port for power but its fine with the USB-A port on the same Anker Prime Charger?is it a USB-PD negotiation thing?

       @packetcat raspberry pi 4 should do usb-c PD properly, but it requires that the power supply (or power supply port) that you're using can supply 5V at 3A.

       @kepstin @packetcat The resistor config in earlier pi 4 board revisions weren't properly set, so some cables didn't work with it (namely ones with an e-marker)https://www.scorpia.co.uk/2019/06/28/pi4-not-working-with-some-chargers-or-why-you-need-two-cc-resistors/

       I'll be buying one of the "official/OEM" chargers anyways since the Anker Prime Charger isn't meant to power things like a rpi, its meant for charging phone/tablets/laptops.but.I'm curious.

       @mikoto @packetcat oh, wow, and according to https://www.scorpia.co.uk/2020/02/24/pi-4-with-partial-usb-type-c-fixes/ they did a fix to this without updating the revision number silk-screened on the board, tho you can check in software.
