@progo Should be interesting to see his thoughts. I was considering at least getting a Framework laptop to tide me over until RAM and other prices aren't absurd

@ent it's a good video. Reinforced what I decided myself some months ago: If you need a new-to-you computer (of any class) in 2026, you're better off getting a used one and waiting out the storm.

@progoFirgures that when I built my desktop I was barely ahead of GPU prices spiking, and now when I could use a new machine this garbage happens. More than a little annoying.Braxman's often not bad on the basics of what he talks about, but as usual, with some digging he's not quite right. I don't trust people who self-declare as gurus. https://www.linuxlinks.com/amd-ryzen-ai-9-hx-370-npu-linux/Framework wouldn't be offering NPU chipsets if they weren't usable in Linux.

@ent yeah I'm not informed about NPUs but the blanket statement from Braxman that "nothing in Linux can use it" didn't smell right to me.
