What's supposedly wrong with the mission? I know they've had fuel delivery problems, but those seem to have been fixed thus far today in launch prep. Of course, anything could go wrong still, but I am excited that people are going back to the moon, even if just a fly-by.

$2,000,000,000 per launch to do something Falcon Heavy has been able to do for over a decade for a fraction of the cost.Im not a SpaceX gooner, ​but if the falcon heavy were to be man-rated it would make NASA's manned mission program completely obsolete.

Are they just too stubborn or stupid to use that design instead, or is there some reason it won't work on this particular craft? Maybe it's too much mass, hence why they were looking for something different than was used on Apollo to begin with. I only have an amateur knowledge of spaceflight and orbital mechanics, enough to understand the concepts, but no where near enough to understand the engineering.

I'm guessing by flyby they mean no lunar orbit. Means no lunar orbit insertion burn and no burn to leave orbit to return to Earth. Simpler mission. Fewer times to relight the engine (and hope it works).
