       Am I the only one who doesnt care about Artemis? Looks more like an US flex and smoke screen to divert the media attention from other matters, than a scientifical/engineering achievement. They already sent people to the moon in the 60s and 70, which if you ask me, had more medit than with today's technology. Specially since they're only going to orbit it.I mean... they literally had to manually flip the bits in their computer to avoid crashing

       @enigmatico It's actally very good if they manage to create a more permanent base there, like the ISS is. Just that their rocket is super crap.

       @shia Imagine if the super rich use that base later to escape our planet when climate change hit us hard, and they force the few who survive here to produce whatever they need in order to keep living there while we slowly die to extreme heat and polution.I love science and advancement but there are times when you have to consider being cautious.

       @enigmatico @shia Pretty sure an actual, working moonbase is way beyond our technology and that anyone going to one is going to die horribly....Send the super rich there.

       @enigmatico We've had a history of moving goalposts and defining our own 'Cool Points'. I think the real space race is humans on Mars.
