Second email in a day for what seems to be a new type of scam.* Author claims to be someone from the Philippines, or somewhere similar, claims to have found my github page.* Claims to want to work in the US* Proposes a scheme where I act as a cut-out for them working a software engineering job, and I take a cut.Many, many obvious red flags here, of course, even if you take it at face value, but wondering if anyone else has seen this?

@emc2 Pretty sure I saw an article a while ago that claimed these folks were mostly actually based in north korea, and looking to gain access to interesting sensitive stuff in the US (and I'm sure the money was nice too)

@emc2 basically I dont think its a scam per se, they're looking for useful idiots to proxy "get money" and "poke at interesting western computing infrastructure" through and may actually be willing to pay real money for the privilege. Although it would not surprise me if they do rip off some of their mules from time to time when an operation is done and they're not needed anymore

@emc2 so like sure you'd be on the hook for all kinds of criminal charges for whatever hacking and sanctions evasion they're doing in your name, but you might actually get paid :p
