@ariadne Funny how nearly all the ‘happy TDoV’ posts I’ve seen have been from cis people, and trans people are mostly neutral to negative on the whole concept. Almost as if this isn’t really about us but about other people being able to pat themselves on the back and say they did something for us

@ariadne You shouldn't have to, but that doesn't mean you don't have to.The vast majority of trans hate out there is from people who have never met a trans person or think they haven't. All those lies people have been told become harder to believe when confronted with actual trans people who are just like everyone else.

@ariadne yep, 100% with you.One reason I love living where I do is that trans women and men are very very visible, but not in some flag wavy way, but in a "we're just normal people doing normal shit like shopping or getting a beer".A few posts on social media, let alone here, will not create an environment like this. I'm not sure what does, but it seems when you've got a mix of poor, rich, and ethnic backgrounds, people give fewer fucks about what's in peoples undies
