       every time I see someone boost slop apologist content into my timeline I willmute the booster for 1 to 7 days depending on my current moodhide all boosts from the booster permanentlyblock the person who originally posted the post and/or shared the articleI've been applying this rule for a while and my timeline is full of cool and interesting people, their lives and their projects, and there's very little doom-and-gloom in sight :neocat_laugh_sweat:

       some would see this as "too aggressive", but it's actually the bare minimum if you wanna have a sane relationship with social mediabecause algorithmic social media is bad and all, boosting ragebait content all day and trying to keep you doomscrolling and hooked to the screen, right?but some people forget the fediverse has a hell of a ragebait-boosting algorithm called people and you sometimes have to keep those in check as well

       @celestia boosts are inherently endorsements tbh. its called a boost for a reason, you’re boosting the take in question, giving it a bigger platform that is, and so boosting slopologist takes is very, very dubious behavour that would fail a vibe check
