       Had quite the misconceptions about WPA2, thought there was some kind of key exchange but no, everyone with the WPA2 key can sniff the Wifi traffic of everyone else using the same password.WPA3 is quite widely supported, I'll disable WPA2 on my home router in the next days.Not a huge issue, I never considered wifi accespoints trusted parties so also relied on TLS, ssh, ... and didn't share my home wifi code widely. But, a bit of safety by just flipping a switch in the fritzbox, let's go

       @climbertobby uh you're not wrong but you're making it sound easier than it is. it's not like passwordless wifi where you open wireshark and watch things stream by - you have to capture an entire wpa2 handshake, which you'd only see for newly connecting clients. you'd have to deauth them to force a reconnection... also I think wireshark has a limit on how many individual associations it can track+decrypt. but yeah, another reason to use always-on wireguard vpn or similar!
