       This "you can run Doom on DNS" thing that is doing the rounds is bloody annoying. Mostly a big juicy nothingburger. If you compare to other "run Doom on X" things where the X actually is used to execute some form of code.In so sense are they "running" Doom on DNS. They just use DNS to store data in TXT records. Which, ta-da, is what DNS is designed for. Sure, more data than usual, but still. This Doom still runs as a .NET binary (if I skimmed through the blog entry correctly) on a normal computer, not sure if it must be a Windows one.A fun hack, sure, but "run Doom on DNS" it is not.
