       I never would have considered Germany as having "tea culture"We are very much subconscious about our tea consumeI swear most people here don't reaaaally think much about tea and yet everyone has some at homeEveryone has an electric kettleTIL that electric kettles aren't as common in the USA as they are hereTIL that most Americans have never had a cup of green tea in their life, not even just cheap generic super market green tea blends I never thought Germany would be a "tea country" but I had no idea how much LESS of a tea culture it is possible to have o_o

       @daniel_bohrer yeah that's true that is unique tea culture again, although *heavily* borrowed from other tea cultures ofc hahabut like just the fact that ANYWHERE in Germany even the cheap mini supermarket next door to me has a big tea shelf is apparently something that is just not a thing in the USA and I am culture shooketh

       @isibell @daniel_bohrer i mean we literally have chains like teegschwendner so i wouldn't say germany doesn't have much of a tea culturefwiw i kinda wanted to get rid of my electric kettle because i have a nice steel one that works on induction, has a pouring snout and is also fasterbut it overloads my portable induction stove if i use it on the high-power side. very angry hum and smoke coming out of it ​:neofox_sweat:​
