       @alisynthesis Cash is much better than credit cards, the issue is that cash has the government's slimy hands all over it.Maybe a replacement physical currency is needed, but the only option for that would be precious metals, which has problems with fakes and also making payment for non-round amounts.

       @alisynthesis @Suiseiseki Also re OP: Really funny thing, Queenstown, western Tasmania, there was only one bank there (and none in the surrounding towns), and it was closing down, so there was this protest organised.The bank was on the main shopping street, along with all the takeaways and such, and one of them (maybe all of them, but I only heard this from one) was watching the protestors come in for a snack and... Pay by card.
