       This is stupid. When I worked in Sunnyvale in the 90s, they used to fine or arrest people for jaywalking. I had a coworker who came in one day and showed us his jaywalking ticket. I'd never seen that enforced before. I'm okay with that.        @Dan_Ramos in CA, pedestrians have the right of way.  All street corners are designated legal crossing points for peds, weather it has a painted crosswalk or not.If a pedestrian wants to test that law with their life is the ultimate deciding factor I guess.The gay uniformed revenue collectors are choosing to do this instead of going after the infinity illegal immigrants in their town or the fentanyl dealers in the area.

       @Dan_Ramos They should make it a young driver's test and give the young driver a clearance if he hits a jaywalker. The more jaywalkers he hits, the more points he gets! That could be a Monty Python skit, but it would show jaywalking is illegal. Have the jaywalkers bang off on cars and bells like a pinball machine. Kinda think LA's budget would like something like that!!!

       @Dan_Ramos They did this for a while on Imperial Hwy on the way to LAX.The "someone walking across the street" was actually a person dressed up in an outlandish clown costume.If you didn't see him crossing the street, you deserved a ticket.

       @Dan_Ramos One thing I've discovered living in the hood is that black people cannot use crosswalks. I don't know if it's a phobia or crosswalks are racist but it's a thing. Pointed it out to my coworker, now he points it out before I see it. It's literally every fucking time. They'll cross the street 5 ft away from a crosswalk dodging in between cars. It's insane.

       @Smeetoo Best thing about that scene is that it wasn't even scripted.  That guy in the car wasn't an actor and it just sort of happened and they kept it in the film.  Hilarious!

       @Dan_Ramos Cops don't care about safety, they care about quota.The real problem is the law has made the pedestrian believe they are so invincible that Superman himself couldn't hurt them if they're in a crosswalk.If someone actually hit those cops that were in that video, and killed them, I wouldn't shed a tear. I ought even think it right.
