       while using my walking stick, now and again, my hands get an urge to go back to muscle memory, and sometimes, I let them do a few motions and the walking stick gets to go back to being a staff for but a few moments...the sound of my hand rubbing over the smooth shaft, the feeling of balance manipulated for efficient motion, even the rest of my body trying to do motions I drilled into it over so many hours...it's not until I experience them again that I remember how much I miss them, and I hope one day, I'll be able to allow my body to indulge in more than a few seconds of those motions it knows so well without the catastrophic cost it currently incurs :shiba_please:

Like, you were just talking about walking sticks, and then you switched to talking about how you're rubbing the shaft. And only then after re-reading everything carefully I realized that it was not actually a change of topic.
