@Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @engel@mastodon.social You can't just "scale things to be bigger", that's very naive. If you just upscale stuff you will get a very disgusting blurry mess. You need to scale different elements differently, especially fonts, shadows, outlines, etc. can all be rendered at higher resolutions.

@max@popbob.wtf I'm half joking obviously. I have nostalgia for these types of interfaces but I know they aren't practical on a daily basis. I am actually using modern KDE on most of my machines and I love it.
