       While national news is glued to Iran, Nebraska is battling the largest wildfire in its history. 4 active fires. 850K+ acres scorched. Cattle and local food chains at risk. Officials say an electrical pole sparked the blaze.No doubt it'll be spun as climate change by someone.

       @vriska This is why I am close to leaving Fedi.It seems that whenever I post things I stumble across in good faith, there is a chance that someone feels the need to berate me to make themselves feel better, for not being able to do much else.There isn't much people can do about elite paedophiles. There is much people affected by the wildfires can do to protect themselves.        @vriska Because our media has previously linked non-climate acts, like arson, with climate change. Believe it or not, misrepresentation of facts happen.Why did you feel the need to bring up elite paedophiles as if it was something I didn't already know? You should know that there ain't much that you or I, as the governed majority, can do about it.        @vriska It was a New Years Resolution to leave. I have roots elsewhere that ditch this name.In my ten years of being here I have seen degradation to the point where Fedi is little different to X. I've written many times of where I feel we went wrong. They've since been lost to time.If engaging in friendslop is the counter-balance to people losing their shit to ephemeral posts, and rewiring defence mechanisms to react to it, perhaps the trade isn't worth it.
