       All body modification is just piercing the skin.Piercings, obviously. Tattoos, there's also a needle that pierces through the skin. Scarification, implants, you're cutting the skin which is a different kind of piercing. Tongue splitting as well. Coin slots are just a biiiig piercing procedure.
