       @fribbledom Did you get one in the end?I can't really recommend one in particular.We wore out a Breville one at uni last century we used it so much, the non-stick surface became non-stick.No idea what they are like these days.We have a sort of panini-press one by Breville now, and it's ok, but it won't seal the edges like a proper toastie maker.

       @chewie I ended up keeping the Krups, as all the other alternatives in that price range turned out even worse.At least there's a 3D-printable replacement for its plastic latch. I can already see myself printing that sooner than later.
