       @Zardoz I remember first hearing about this guy in 2014. I didn’t know much about him; but I was a Traditional Monarchist by that point, and the TradOx facebook group discussions often centered around Moldbug and Evola. I was annoyed by both of them but especially Yarvin, because I vastly preferred hearing about actual Orthodox Saints (and I certainly wasn’t alone in that regard!)  It was long a mystery to me why he kept popping up, though it’s clear in retrospect; Heimbach was still ascendant in popularity that early in the year, and the idea of an emergent Orthodox Ethnic Nationalism amongst White Americans in the Heartland was quite terrifying to certain special interests with control over the press. Yarvin was getting paid to gatekeep - corralling new converts away from such terribly “racist” and “antisemitic” ideas as a White American Orthodox Church, and at least a half-dozen personal accounts were assigned to the TradOx group to keep Moldbug in circulation.   Shortly thereafter Heimbach imploded, which was hilarious and lulzy. But TradOx chugged right along for nearly a couple more years until the Priest mods decided to build a separate political group, and basically banned political discussion in general in TradOx proper.

       @Zardoz Yeah man, tbh I was surprised to hear he went public again. He dipped off the radar for some time, and he sort of oozed out from under the aftermath of the scamdemic.

       @KingOfWhiteAmerica @Zardoz Your analysis of him seems on point. His writing can be entertaining but I never found it interesting, since he doesn't seem to advocate for Tradition or God in any way.

       @KingOfWhiteAmerica @Zardoz There's this podcast called Red Scare that men can pretend to like in order to date New York Times journalists and I once heard maybe half an interview he did on there and at some point he casually substitutes "State" for "The US State Department" in the middle of a sentence and that immediate struck me as the vernacular of a federal employee or contractor though I never looked into it

       @ryan @Zardoz @KingOfWhiteAmerica his dad worked as a diplomat in the US foreign service so he grew up around gov insiders, he makes a point about knowing all the insider lingo like dropping "the" from "CIA" etc.
