       @commandlinekid Memes are useful for passing and verifying information in an occupied territory. One major feature of memes is that they are cynical enough, and more often vain jesting, such that the occupying government does not understand the information being passed and verified until it has fully disseminated among the thinking populace. Don't discount memes totally. They are why Gen Z and Alpha are slowly going conservative.
