       Instagram: "End-to-end encrypted messaging will no longer be supported after May 8, 2026."Ah... the end of end-to-end encryption. Great news for anyone who always felt their private messages just weren't being ad-targeted and monetized enough.

       @fribbledom Do you know if Instagram/Meta provided a reason for why they are ending secure private messaging? I'm not really interested in why they are doing it, what I'd like to know is what they say they are doing it for.
