       Funny that the Greek are the only ancient civilization that actually survived 'as is' until today. Well, not exactly 'as is', they went under Roman control and they later transform to Christianity, but they didn't change that much and, in fact, they even keep their language. Unlike Egypt.Egypt changed so much that they even forgot they had built the Pyramids.

       @enigmatico Greeks also went under the Ottoman empire and the modern language is indistinguishable from the ancient one.I'm not exactly sure this comparison is apt. Egypt was conquered by Arabs but Armenia also kept it's civilisation and language. So did Iran and Turkey. Idk seems like Egypt is the exception here

       @Ghoulishlover The conservative sector blames everything that goes wrong on everyone who is different from what they consider the "norm" because in their mind, everyone should be the same so that everyone contributes to their country so that their country grows stronger. Like robots. And people who is different from the social "norm" (LGTBQIA+, disabled people, poor people, immigrants, etc) don't contribute so if something bad happens it's always their fault.Anyone with two brain cells will understand that this is definitely not the case. In the case of the decline of births, it's neither being gay, trans, nor the low income the problem.It's not a "gay" or "trans" problem because even if they don't have children naturally, things like artificial insemination are a thing. Men can donate sperm and women can be fertilized with that sperm. And homosexual people can use this to have offspring if they wanted to (As well as adoption of course).And it's not a low income problem because I've seen a lot of people with low income having two or more children anyways. You see this even in countries that are at war or are considered "poor" because they are basically colonies of the "first world".The problem, simply put, is that people does not want to have children. Period.
