       I'm kind of fascinated by Musk's AI datacenters in space thing. I think it shows that he's now just running a kind of innovation Ponzi scheme. Whenever a venture fails, he moves on to something bigger with more wild promises. The science is slowly moving from improbable claims to actively disprovable claims. No matter where I look, the idea of a datacenter in space seems to be just really dumb, with very obviously poor economics.

       @ngaylinn@tech.lgbt @pbloem@sigmoid.social I think he's always been this way, but humanity is finally catching up to the fact that he's a carnival barker for rich people. He has been quite good at fooling a certain kind of instrumentally intelligent but otherwise dull person we so often encounter in STEM, economics, and sometimes finance.
