       Reminder that companies have to comply with laws if they want to continue  existing. Your favourite open source project cant just refuse to comply with a law if they disagree with it. Sure they may be able to stop operating in certain regions but then the people in those regions suddenly start having even less options for software that protects their privacy. Having software avaliable that protects your privacy as best as legally possible while complying with the law is the best option for people in countries with bad laws.
