       @piku@blahaj.zone Yes. I remember a couple years ago hearing about how much the United States is involved in tracking other country's citizens in terms of fingerprints. It's pretty terrible. Like, everyone with a US driver's license has their fingerprint in a government database. Anyone who wants to travel to this country gets fingerprinted.

       @shio @aperture @piku @puppygirlhornypost2 Yeah, no license fingerprints here. Mine still ended up in the database for unrelated federal background check reasons though. I think that was actually the only time I've been fingerprinted by a government agency? Even US passports don't require fingerprints, and although I haven't checked my newest one, IIRC they don't include them in the passport's chip data either. (Euro passports include an encrypted (IIRC) copy of your fingerprints in the chip, alongside the usual photo and document details)
