       @aud Maybe. But those two + netcat make me think it’s a left-over from forking the zed-git package. If I’m bored tomorrow evening, I might clean this up a bit, and strip dependancies down to a “it compiles” minimum.

       @aud AHAHAHA! I just tried to clean up that PKGBUILD, and the fucking script to generate the license files OOM’ed my box, because I have the audacity to have only 32 GB of RAM, and I made the mistake to open up a browser :lolsob:

       @aud Yep. And that’s not even compiling the actual program. That’s just cargo about in the prepare() part of the build… (And while I’m ranting: Why the fuck does it compile cargo-about?!? That’s packaged in the arch, btw repos, and explicitly listed in the makedepends(). Why is rust?)

       @aud This makes me think that rust is not a good programming language. If it needs this much RAM, it’s just gatekeeping coding for those who can afford 128 gigs of RAM. Shit should compile on 8 GB, even if it takes hours. I fucking compiled KDE ON 4 GB RAM, ONCE UPON A TIME!

       @schrotthaufen@mastodon.social the people who seem to be "in charge" of Rust have consistently disappointed me on every single axis possible, so...do I like Rust?  Sure, yeah, well enough.  But I also hate Rust.  But I also like it.
