What you're referring to as Kilo,is in fact, Kilo/gram, or as I've recently taken to calling it, kilogram.kilo is not a unit of measurement unto itself, but rather another free componentof a fully functioning prefix system made useful by the SI gram, comprising a full measurement as defined by Système international d'unités.
