       This was an exercise in generating an artificial landscape, sort
       of a Boris Vallejo without the metal bikinis. The mountains are
       real, a picture of Mount Baldy near San Bernardino, CA
       photographed at infinity, but the ice plain, the sun and the moon
       were all generated with custom software and then the whole thing
       was retouched and reprocessed in Photoshop for a dreamy, ethereal
       quality. Also a little lens flare, becase lens flare is tasty,
       and some hopefully non-obvious airbrushing.
